Review SVG pattern edges, scale and export

Use a repeatable check when a pattern shows seams or looks different after export.

Inspect a repeated edge

Zoom into the boundary between repeated units. A tiny gap can come from fractional placement, strokes extending outside a tile or mismatched dimensions. Compare the exported asset with the Figma canvas to identify where the difference appears.

Check vector and raster output separately

An SVG preserves vector geometry, while a PNG is rendered at a chosen pixel size. If a PNG looks soft, export at the size needed for its destination. If an SVG changes appearance, inspect fills, masks and stroke behavior in the target application.

Keep the source and usage context

Save the editable composition and note its colors and intended dimensions. Confirm the applicable product terms before distributing source assets as part of a public download. A screenshot of a pattern does not replace its editable source when future revisions are expected.
